Those Russian Blues are very special. But $1000? Well, I guess it's not the most expensive kitten around.

Lin, nice turkey! We had a mother fox who got separated from her kits today. There was a lot of noise and we all watched as the babies ran back to the mother. It was really funny because all of us neighbors (it's a small, linear condo complex) went outside to see what was going on, and then each one told the other not to go outside. People, geez!

on getting those Buntings to visit! I sure miss seeing those cuties; always called them rainbow birds (the males) because of their pretty colors.

There was a family of Sandhill Cranes walking through a neighbors yard this morning and the adults were so loud! Eery time their youngsters got out of sight, the parents would stick their necks straight up and begin honking. I managed to get a few pictures even though they were down the road on a neighbors property. I had to zoom and crop a couple of them.

And a Blue Jay .... a bit hazy due to the high humidity
