Dear porkpal, it is great to hear from you and everyone else! My boss at the farm got a really good price for the geese as it is our National Christmas dish and although i wanted one they were over my budget so i got at a discount price duck off him which was very nice indeed. Except my wife was slightly not amused as I plucked it in the kitchen and there were a few feathers about! Rolling on the floor laughing We had pork today from the farm which was lovely as well as it was rare breed pork. It was 56F today and never seems to have stopped raining for everything is soaked. You look after yourself and may this be a good New Year for you all.
Regards from a wet England.
Neil.

Dear AnnaZ, that sounds wonderful to me for my wife and I love it! We just had a simple joint of pork with some fat on it as my wife loves the crackling when it is cooked, for the crispy taste of that is gorgeous as well if I ever get any that is. Hope you are well and the family? I am cooking pheasant tomorrow so am looking forward to that.
Regards from a rain soaked England.
Neil.

Well, we will be "working stiffs" some of this new month of January. We have a milking job next week on Thurs. evening/Friday morning. Then a 6 day job from the 16th-21st. Then a 3 milking job on the 25th (both milkings) and the morning milking of the 26th. Oooohhh.......more vacation $$. Green Grin!

I'd invite you here, but I know how much you like snow. We got 8 inches overnight and they are forecasting as much as 20 over the next few days. Lake Erie is only at 43, lots of warm water to mix with the frigid air.

So I'm coming to you from the new laptop. It is going to take some getting used to! I've already broken out the wireless mouse - don't really like the pad mouse.

Warmer weather for the next week or so, still have some snow, but it's settled and melted off the roads.

I bought a mouse for my laptop too. And when I use it here at home for my bookkeeping, I also plug in my keyboard so I don't make as many mistakes.

I agree, you look and sound the same, but I thought at first you had a slight accent. Must have been my mistake. Green Grin!

Perhaps a bit of an accent - that's just my upstate NY broad a.

I think I'm going to go outside after lunch - just too beautiful not to and some warmer than it's been.

Well we got RAIN! A lot all at once. Some rain fell during the night, but this morning from about 7:00 until 10:30 it poured, and hailed, and thundered; there were also tornado threats. Our rain gauges only hold 5" and they were filled to the brim, feed troughs were full and we now have two new lakes - the east pasture has a 10 acre lake and the one in the north pasture may be around 6 acres. Also the trailer shed looks as if something really heavy came down on its roof (?) No other obvious damage beyond fallen dead tree branches and loose items blown out of place. They are predicting more rain through Tuesday morning - lighter and steadier, I hope.
