Oh Jim!
thank you soooo much!
I really liked this one and was hating that it would have to go back to the show tomorrow. How nice to have a name on it.

Alice, I’ve been methodically going through the collection and picking out the NOID plants, under performers and ones that don’t thrill me ( flowers face up instead of out for example) and they will be rehomed. I love the Chocolate Drop and her crosses not only for the flowers but their growth habit, they go straight up instead of out, taking up less room. They are also quite tall so I can alternate them on the bench with the shorter squattier plants , enabling me to put all the plants closer, and still have good air circulation.

Pretty cool thinking! I like the idea of plants that go up rather than out.

Good point! I have a Cattleya Good Friend which takes up ridiculous amounts of room, because the new growth never grows upwards but rather straight out sideways. Total space hog! If the blooms weren't so darn gorgeous I would have tossed it already.

I have three possibilities for the yellow Renanthera hybrid. Perhaps it is Rnps. Fire Storm or Rnps. Arizona Star? Ren. Twin Star also looks like a possibility too.
The most troublesome point though is that none of these seem to possess the rounded petals tips that yours has Patty.

Thank you for your concern, @ Ursula and others, but I am fine. I have been out of town for 10 days, two football games and a week in Highlands, NC (we lost them both..........badly). @ sugarcane, I quit posting orchids three weeks ago, needing to wind down since I could not ship for almost two weeks. I am so glad to be back home and look forward to sleeping in my own bed.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
