The weather is suppose to be nice this weekend. No rain. My yard really needed the moisture.
It was also nice that the rain came and helped settle roots from all the plants I moved in the last two weeks. Still have more to go.
I try to avoid Portland as I always get stuck in the traffic. May never make it to Little Baja at that rate. I used to work in a greenhouse located in a place like Lil Baja in NM. Boy, you can spend the week's pay in a place like that if you like pottery!
Lynn, I'm painting the outside, it needs it badly. Summer was way too hot! I just look for breaks to get as much done as I can. This weekend looks pretty good. Also, sometimes you get rain up there and I don't.
Bev, I won't drive in Portand either, but Little Baja isn't in the intense traffic areas. It's not far from Portland Nursery.
Here's how I spent this month's discretionary funds. Those two in front were $24 each, which ain't cheap but they are heavily built and not department store quality. The one in the back is a spare freebie from Bev's collection.
Very nice pots! Pots are all expensive. Have any of you gone to Mexico and brought back pots? I have neighbors who do it and they say it's about half the price for them.

I'll let the truck come up from Texas or Mexico and deliver the goods locally. I'll also let the "experts" at Little Baja control the quality with their suppliers. Their business depends on it and if they're no better than the cheap cr@p at Walmart, then they lose my (and everyone else's) business. They wouldn't be there for decades selling poor quality at premium prices. Gardeners are way too wise for that, right? Same logic applies to Tequila... or does it?
Beautiful new terra cotta pots Tim. Love them.
I have terra cotta that is almost 20 years old, outside and planted. The good stuff can last for many years if taken care of.
Little Baja is known for the quality of their terra cotta.
Maybe I'll take a chance and try and go on an off day (is there an off day for traffic in and out of Portland?) without my credit card and hope that it is in the outskirts and do some major "browsing"...Wait, I just saw where it is on the map. It is IN Portland
