These are gorgeous, especially with the pink. They look like peonies!

Thank you, Joanna. I couldn't believe the transformation of the beautiful white rose with so many additional pink petals. Sometimes the outer petals of the bud would have a pink cast, that could then give the blossom a pink blush.
But in 2008, I had quite a few blossoms with a number of pink petals. I could only attribute it to the humidity we were then experiencing. If anyone has a different explanation, I'm interested.

Perhaps that is what happened to the Winchester Cathedral Rose that I purchased for my new place. It turned out to have totally pink blossoms, except for one bottom branch that had white blossoms.

I was so disappointed to not have my white rose, that I gave it away.
