Spring is fast approaching. Getting ready for more give outs. I have names of people who want some. Mostly will be stem cuttings. I have lost a few thru winter months but some are doing really well. I have to thin out my collection. Not looking for anything myself. I want to expand my collection towards hybrid aloes and their hybrids. Message me if anybody else wants in. Postage is about $4 to $12 depending on how big and heavy the box is.

Here are my loves: Stapelia, Orbea, Huernia, Caralluma, Ceropegia,. Angolluma, Tavaresia and Hoodia. Except Stapelia gigantea (its just way too big!). BTW, why has the Catalog of Life moved Stapelia gigantea to Ceropegia? The Plant List still has it as Stapelia.

My little H. quinta started to grow and then just gave up.

I have to clean my glasses! I thought it read "Hernias"! I already have one of those. LOL.

Kew.org has Stapelia gigantea as the accepted name and Ceropegia as synonyms. I just checked.

Until someone shows me the DNA research that led to the name change, it will stay Stapelia gigantea.

No, I also checked the Catalogue of Life a while ago since we talked about it, it also gives Stapelia as the accepted name, Ceropegia as synonym.

Now this weird, the first time I looked, the accepted name was Stapelia, but I am sure I saw the year 2017. Now if you look again, it is Ceropegia as accepted name, date is Febr 26. 2018. I give up.

Yes, I think it's Ceropegia (for now anyway)... though in my head I will probably always use the old name.
