Is Pilocereus a legitimate Genus? The following Pilocereus are listed in our database but upon searching the Catalogue of Life:

- Not found
Not found
Not found
- CoL lists it as synonym for Pilosocereus royenii
- Not found
- Not found
- Not found

CoL has 8 listings under the name of Pilocereus but all are synonyms for other genus

Yes, Pilocereus was replaced by Pilosocereus (with the two extra letters) in 1957.
