What a differance that makes. I need to do that, maybe spring as my first raised bed needs an overhaul.

Anyone coming from the north down to the clinic is welcome to stop at my place in Canby. It's only a short detour off the freeway. I can offer coffee and bathrooms and a tour of my rock/semp garden. The same welcome applies on the way home.

A nice shade garden at Tim's place as well. Me, Patty and Greg enjoyed our visit last year.

Oh my, Julia... that does take me back. I remember so much fun having such like-minded folks over to look at plants. As I recall y'all couldn't stay very long cuz you'd stayed so long an Perennial Obsessions eating cookies. I guess I should add cookies to the list of visitor perks at my house. Lesson learned.

Never long enough when talking plants. The ferry was not working so we had to back track, I believe. May have to swing by again this year. Our plan never comes together until way closer to the date.

Great work with awesome results Melissa. What a difference.

When you stop to see Tim's riverbed of semps, take a tour of his home orchard. Love that orchard. And the chickens. I just plain love walking around Tim and Jo Ann's gardens.

OK I have the contract on The Hampton Inn. It's a very easy exit off the I-5 on Mission Street and one turn on Lancaster, so very easy.

As soon as everything settles I'll give you the links from the hotel for all the info. I think you'll like the place. Very neat and clean.

Next step is to decide on all the meals. Such a tough task, tasting and deciding...

I've always liked the Hampton Inns and have stayed in the ones in Salem, Denver, Santa Barbara, Santa Fe, and north of Seattle.

Yes, tasting food for one's own meal is easy but tasting for other people's enjoyment must be tough. I guess somebody with a sophisticated palate has got to do it, right Kevin? What a guy!

Not my favorite Lynn! I like other Chinese places much better. To me the spices are off there. Guess I was spoiled back East and even in MS!

I think we might do McGrath's or the Cafe' owned by Sassy Onion as they're both an easy drive from the hotel. Would love to do one of the places downtown but parking is always tight on Friday night.

I've never been to Kwan's but good point Kevin regarding "spices being off". I've stopped going to a few Chinese restaurants where the non too subtle sauces have overpowered the entrees.
I've have been to Sassy Onion on a Sat. and maybe because it was a Sat. breakfast, the place was very very noisy.

Kevin, I just checked the various SO locations and none of them serve dinner? Winter hours?...latest hour I saw was closing at 5pm. Also no location on Lancaster...must be another street?

Bev,

Yes It is the one on Hawthorne (that runs on the west side of the I-5). I called and they will cater a meal after hours but pricey. We'll probably do McGrath's as it's an easy trip from the hotel and they can seat a big group.

Parking is easy and it only involves one turn from the hotel so very easy for our out-of-towners.

Sound like a plan?

Kevin
