Mike has he always had migraines or have they just started? DH had terrible headaches that came on suddenly a few months ago, but only when he had been laying down for a while. Doctors couldn't find anything to help. I finally went on line, plugged in his symptoms and up popped "cluster headaches." They can occur with weather changes, usually on only one side of the head. Anyway, turned out that's what he had developed. Saw a neurologist and he's fine now. They can possibly start up again, but there's also something that can stop the pain too.

Mike,
I paid for this co-op, do you want me to pay for the two hibiscus so you can ship them all together? Let me know what I owe and I will send payment thru paypal for the hibiscus and if you think there will be additional shipping. Or, I can wait and see what your next co-op has in store, and add things together that way, or I can pay for one co-op at a time. Whatever works best for you.

When the headaches come on so suddenly they could indeed be cluster headaches. However, look into a trigger for a cause, it could be a wicked sinus headache due to something blooming that he is allergic to. I hope he gets better soon. Having had migraines, I know they seriously ruin your day!

Wil I know how you feel I get them alot. Been working with one for a week now. Just starting
to feel better. One thing that does help me sometime's is either a hot or cold towel on the
back of my neck. That is what I think is going to kick this one. If your a tea drinker Camomile
helps me also ,doesn't get rid of it but, calms it down to a dull roar Blinking

I have had migraines but they are different then his. he has tried allergy everything, he has tried mussel relaxer and narcotics(legal), My sister also has many migraines and i have gone over and over to try to find a trigger cant figure it out. we have gone out side to a restaurant and even to the store to keep out of the house for 3-4 hrs to see if they would go away or settle down ...no good. done the warn and cold to the neck massage to the neck/shoulders, chiropractor, and one kind of migraine med. NOTHING. he has meds for anxiety he has taken those and we watched his blood pressure, blood sugar, ate the same things as we always do. Yesterday our Dr (which is a great family dr) said he has no idea we tried everything. right before we left he pulled up back in the exam room and said that sometimes these can and probably are cluster headaches. He said believe it or not but some people if put on Oxygen for 15-20 min it will break the migraine BUT did not work. He made an appointment with our pain management dr to see if he could do anything. when he had x-rays done before the dr said his neck is straight it should have a curve in it. but dont know if this has anything to do with it. yesterday he started saying his thought felt like it was fury and sore. this morning he said it was even worse. I wounder if it has something to his headache or if it is different? I tole him to call the Dr and see if he thinks it might be a side affect of the med or if he should come in and look at it i looks and he has lot of red spots. NO white but red.

well thanks for the ideas and we think you are all the best!!! Group hug Group hug Group hug

Deb if you want to pay for them now thats ok if you want to wait till next co-op i plan to have up in next 2 days. I will try fill everyone's boxes as full as i can or reduce the size of box. If you want to wait and when i pack your box and any fit i can put it(them)in and then tell you and you can pay for them BUT with the hibiscus are relay part of next co-op i just had the best co-op turn out and decided to give you all a great deal on them. next co-op the plants are going to be split up 1 per pot they will be just a tad bit cheaper but these you guys got have 3 plants in one pot. its great deal compared to another co-op!!! basically im going to try to save you as much as i can even if i have to ship something that is not paid for AS LONG AS YOU HAVE PAID FOR THIS CO-OP!!

I had those cluster headaches for years and they are a b_tch to get rid of. We finally figured out it was food that was the trigger. They would start when I had too much MSG or gluten products or anything that was over processed. I cut out anything that had the MSG which was the worst one. cut back on the other two and I have been cluster free for about 15 years now. My daughter is going through it all now and so far one of her triggers is the Msg. Try the food groups and see if that helps in any way.

Thanks, Mike, I'll wait to see what other goodies you come up with. When ever you want me to send the money for the hibiscus just holler and I'll send it right away.

Feel better Wil!! My daughter used to get migraines, but luckily hasn't had one for a few years now.

Take him to see a neurologist....
Edited to add: DH 's neurologist put him on Prednisone, a 20 day regiment. He took them and has not had a headache since the first day of taking the pills. They also prescribed oxygen, which he ordered, then canceled because the headaches didn't return.

Oooooh, that is an interesting idea! If it's an inflammatory problem that's causing those headaches, prednisone could very well take care of it. I had an out of control, undiagnosed allergic reaction to some meds a while back and my dr finally had the bright idea to try prednisone (everyone else thought it was an infection of some sort). Cleared it up in 24 hours! But regardless, a neurologist is definitely in order if he hasn't seen one already!

I agree, Wil should see a neurologist first and then try other remedies. Hope he will feel better soon.

I'm definitely not advocating taking Prednisone without seeing a doctor first. You could simply mask the symptoms temporarily. See a neurologist first.
If you have a good relationship with your family doctor, talk to him first and tell him somef ole biddies were diagnosing over the Internet! DH finally told his doctor that his wife had researched online. Doctor agreed it could be cluster headaches and sent him to neurologist. Your doctor may even decide to prescribe the med to see if it works.
One last thing.....are they only on one side of his head?
