I just noticed this when adding this plant to my swap list. The page for the species Salvia officinalis is shown as being the landing page for all sages. That makes the common name for this plant display as just "sages" in the plant lists instead of "Culinary Sage".

This database entry exists to show plant data and photos that apply generically to all Sages.

@dave, To avoid this confusion we can change the name of this custom database from Sages to Culinary Sages and include Salvia officinalis, it's cultivars and all lower taxa. While all subspecies may not be of culinary value having them separate from the species in our database is confusing. Please add the following plants to this database:
Culinary Sage (Salvia officinalis subsp. gallica)
Spanish Culinary Sage (Salvia officinalis subsp. lavandulifolia)
Salvia (Salvia officinalis subsp. multiflora)
Culinary Sage (Salvia officinalis subsp. officinalis)
Salvia (Salvia officinalis subsp. oxyodon)

I updated the name of The Culinary Sages Database

Now, as for the second half of this proposal, I'm uncertain of how to proceed. If I add those species to this parent plant, I will then need to delete all those plant entries that currently exist. We can't have duplicate entries like this.

So, if we do that, then we'll have one plant entry that covers all those different species that you mentioned. Are you okay with that?

Actually, never mind that. Our system is smarter than I remember, and the duplicate problem doesn't exist when one of the dups is a parent plant. I'll finish this up right now.
