I have been going through the native plants in My List and updating the info in our database, in particular regarding the conservation status (which I believe is a fairly recent addition to the plant details). It seems to me that the checkbox of 'Endangered' in 'Miscellaneous' is now a redundacy since the conservation status includes that as a dropbox choice. But then I did a search of the entire database using only 'endangered' as a choice and it came up with 179 entries. When I randomly opened several of these, I see that sometimes the endangered box has simply been checked, whereas other times a brief note has been added, e.g., the year it became endangered, which agency determined that status, or sometimes the specific region where it is endangered. Perhaps it might make sense to simply move the 'Endangered' choice below the conservation status drop box and perhaps rename it to 'Notes' or something similar? I do like the text option for additional info.
As always, I am not a programmer so have no idea if this is easy or difficult, or if it even makes any difference. Just a thought.
