It has been quite some time since the combining of Jovibarba with Sempervivum. It is just one genus now with two subsections.
I think it is time to make the change here in the NGA database:
The Database
The Sempervivum Database

Your link just comes back to this thread, Lynn. As I recall, this should have been done years ago, but the two databases had different custom architectures and couldn't be combined without losing some of the data. Has that changed?

Just wondering if we are going to be doing this?
@dave is there a problem with matching up the architecture of the two databases?

I think we have no choice that we have to do it. Merging the two is going to be extremely time consuming because so much of the two databases is so different. Merging the information is going to be largely manual for me, so I've been procrastinating getting started.

I'll soon take a look and form a plan of action.

Ok, every time I feel like grumbling because they've gone and changed the name of, or reclassified the name of some plant that I have, I'm going to try to remember to be thankful that I don't have to restructure an entire database!
