Back to the drawing board. The semi-dwarf peach I bought was apparently expiring when I bought it and never greened up. So.... does anyone have another recommendation for a dwarf stone fruit? Wherever did Rodica go? That woman could grow a Sequoia in a pot, I'm certain. And I remember that she did have potted fruit trees. Oh, Rodica....!

I planted what I think is a Pomegranate "Wonderful" last spring. Doing pretty well. I love the color of the blooms. This on is pruned like a tree about 5'5" tall at the moment.

I have a Wonderful as well Susie ! Mine is just a giant bush shaped but I love that plant because it give the bright yellow for fall color and the pomes remind me of red apples. Hurray!

*sigh* so jealous... we can grow peaches on the Western Slope (west of the Rockies here in CO) but they don't fare well in our metro. I have tried cherries & apples, but they just don't survive the winters. Probably something I'm doing.. gonna try it one more time this year I think w/apples.

Toni... I've heard apples do well in cold weather. There is at least one orchard in Sedona, AZ where is gets quite cold, even snows a little.

Our big apple tree in the front yard in MIchigan, where I lived as a child, did great in all the snow and cold. Apples like cold. Thumbs up
