The input is not mine I must admit, I have very little knowledge about things I have not propagated. My dear friend is affiliated with the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and is a collector of many of these plants. The other night I ask him to check on some info I put in to my list to make sure it was accurate. He did then he lurked around and found this ID thread. He seemed very sure about what it was. That does not mean it is it. Without actually going to a site like Cactiguide or people who are constantly dealing with these plants it is really difficult to be sure and we just keep on guessing. I personally use the Cactiguide for any questions I have regarding questions I have on all of the cacti I propagate. When selling, I just must be accurate. I have received too many things that were incorrectly marked over my years to trust everyone. It is amazing how some of the biggest sellers do make mistakes...as I am sure you know. She could send her pictures to them to be sure if this is something she wants to keep on working on. Cactiguide.com

Rhipsalis pachyptera is definitely a perfect match Janet for the last two pictures! Thanks to the fruiting bodies it made it very clear! Smiling
The first two of the second set I'll consider unsure, I've looked at the Plantillustrations site, but it is very uncertain without the fruiting bodies! Rolling my eyes. I'll consider those as Rhipsalis sps..

Thanks again to all for the assistance! Smiling

Cross-posted Jacquie! The images with the fruiting bodies made it very clear like I wrote above, but the others not.
Thanks for the suggestion!

They are mildew on stem segments of plant shown on second photo of this topic?

Thank you Justin! no that whitish stuff is not mildew but micro-lichen typically associated with tropical rainforests, I found them everywhere making white splashes on older leaves, they don't seem to harm the plant..

I only found Pseudorhipsalis amazonica, mj, it has resemblance I agree but not lobed leaves and it doesn't occur in the region where I photographed. Smiling

I don't think that one is like Myriam's plant mj, the correct genus is Pseudorhipsalis and there is only one species listed in Flora do Brazil being P. ramulosa being only in the north west.

I bumped up this old thread, because I believe that the first pictures I have posted are from Epiphyllum phyllanthus.
There is only that species + its subspecies recorded in the Flora do Brasil for that area.
http://floradobrasil.jbrj.gov....
I have more recent photos from early this year in the same area of the plant with the fruit bodies and they are a match with the image on the Flora do Brasil:
http://reflora.cria.org.br/inc...
The flower called 'Dama da Noite'= 'Lady of the Night' by the locals is a pure white and these are a match too of photos on the web.
I would have loved to see it in flower, but no luck again!
These were taken in the wild, not easy as they were very high up in a tree and I had to crop a lot..

I'm not seeing where you get Epiphyllum phyllanthus from Myriam, the leaves don't look the same to me. The 'bumps' on the leaf edges of your first photos are more rounded than elongated. The flowers do match the description you give, I don't know if there are variations or hybrids with the same flowers.

Thanks Janet, yes I think you would be right about the first pictures on this thread, the leave edges look too rounded and also the leaf segments broader, but I think it would be the correct id, for the last set of pictures (of this year) as these were really taken in the wild?

I think you are correct with the last set being Epiphyllum phyllanthus. Most photos I see have a slightly concave edge to the 'bumps' but these seem to be variable with subspecies in different places.
