Has anybody heard of a rose called Artist before? I have googled and haven't found anything. The dried flower heads are very tiny, about 1/4 to 1/2" in width.

I have these seeds, but not sure of what I have. Also don't you need to have a rose hip to have seed for all roses? Wondering if what I have received is all chaff before I pass it on to somebody else. Confused

Ella, judging by the size of the flower heads, you probably mean Little Artist:

Rose (Rosa 'Little Artist')

It's a hybrid, so even if you did have the seeds, they probably wouldn't produce the same plant. Besides, unless the plant has been protected from bees and other pollinators, you'll get some kind of cross. Only species roses grow true from seed.

Thanks Zuzu! That must be it, sure is a pretty little thing. I not very good with roses, so appreciate the help. The more I look at this, what I think I have is just a bunch of dried flower heads, I don't feel anything hard or round that would even feel like a little seed hip. But at least I know what it is. That the important thing.

Thanks bunches! Smiling

You could always plant those "seeds" and see whether anything grows. - just in case...

Thanks Porkpal. Smiling I may just try and see if I can get anything to germinate in a wet paper towel in a baggy. Even if they don't come true, would be nice to see what develops.
