How I would love to own such a lovely place!

Oh, Teresa (@TsFlowers), I don't "own" this - the photos were taken at Guadalupe State Park which is seven miles from my home. It's one of my favorite places to hike. However, the Guadalupe River DOES run close to where I live (about two city blocks away, although we don't have "blocks" out here in the country). I hike here too; but because of the steep cliffs it's a bit more challenging. It's always beautiful and worth the risk.

Thank you for the compliment, Lin. Sometimes I must sound like the Hill Country Chamber of Commerce. I've lived here for 17 years and never tire of the many beautiful areas in this part of Texas.

My husband and I drove to San Diego back in February 1970 for him to attend a school for the Navy and of course we had to pass through Texas but it was the southern part of the state and not the time of autumn color. A dear friend and I flew to Waco, Tx in November 2015 for a few days but there wasn't any colorful foliage at all ... that area had s a lot of rain for a week prior so the only colors we saw were mud. I think the Texas Hill Country must be the prettiest part of your state!!
