The charming little uncomplicated wild rose that I dug out and it came back...I decided that it deserves to stay...

Crete, Greece
In a similar vein, I have a Hibiscus and a Polygala both of which form flower heads then drop off, Any suggestions as to cause?

Also had similar happenings in the Spring with Courgettes, Peppers and beans.

I live on Crete, Greece where i believe the climate is similar to that of coastal California

I'm afraid that I have no answers, but WELCOME ! I've grown all of those but hibiscus in SoCal and not had that problem.....and I'm in the Pacific NorthWest now where conditions are very different...no flower head drop here either.

You may get more answers in the Vegetable forum....if no one here can be of help....
