Ties for Vines

By goldfinch4

If I grow vining plants on trellises I always leave a few plant ties attached to the trellis. That way if I’m out in the gardens and see a vine that needs a little assistance staying on the trellis I always have a plant tie handy.

When I see something that needs to be attached, I always start looking for my velcro tape, but I usually get sidetracked by something else. Consequently, it never gets done. This is a highly efficient solution to this problem.

I agree with zuzu. Always get sidetracked. Right now I have sweat peas growing and they all don't attach themselves to my netting so I have to look for t tie to keep them up. Going to find my velcro tape. Great idea!!

I really like this idea! There have been so many times when I've been wandering around the garden and see vines sticking out away from a trellis. I always try to tuck them back in only to find later that they've popped out again. If I have a few extra ties right there I can tie the rampant vines right back to the trellis!
Thanks Chris for this great tip!
