Got Nelda's Joy last fall, held off Trephina Park until I see how it does for others in the south. It's getting more and more expensive to get those new ones, isn't it?

I am sure that the seedling Peonies on exhibition will be eye-poppers!!

For those lucky attendees, your conference is right around the corner. Are you all getting pretty excited?

We here can hardly wait to see your pictures.

It is nice that we are in the digital age !
Pictures can come almost from the conference .
Can you remember the film or slides era, and how long it would have taken ?
We will be patient as you attendees need to enjoy that conference !

So many similar orange peonies recent years.

I'll post some pics during the convention then bury you guys in them when we get back and I can get them on my computer and labelled! Plan to do what I did last time--photograph every single variety that's entered in the competition plus take tons of pics on the tours--especially targeting seedlings and not yet released peonies! I'll visit Brooks before the convention as well as Iris Sisters and probably a couple of other growers, targeting both peonies and iris!

I am an APS member and plan to attend this year's convention in Portland. However, when I tried to register for the convention, it was already fully booked and the registration was closed.

My question is, without registration, can an APS member attend the the Saturday evening general meeting and auction? Can I attend the seminars on Saturday and Sunday? Can some forum member who have been to previous conventions shed some light on these?

Why don't you just call or email Lore? She's very nice.

Or contact the APS President, who is also very nice. They can give you an idea of what is possible.

Lore responded really quick. For an APS member not registered for the conference, one can only attend the flower show and seminars on Saturday and Sunday. Those are free and open to public. Looks like the seminar schedule is not yet on APS website. Here is a copy.

I think so, LG. Have not decided yet whether to attend the Saturday afternoon seminars yet. Will be there Sunday.

Several of us are going so we'll all need to meet up! I'll be at the hotel a full day early so will stake out a good meeting spot and will post back here. Anya and Mary, I'll see you at the meet and greet!

The day is nearing APS Conference attendees. I'm very excited for you all. Seeing Adelman's in bloom will be a treat!
