Stock photos used tto market this LA (longiflorum asiatic) hybrid never did show the whole story of this versatile lily. It has all the good qualities I look for in a lily and blends well no matter where I place it. People who see it in real life here call it 'The Green One' and of couse, they all want a start. I've had them for about 10 years. I see this lily is available from an associate forum member at FARAWAY FLOWERS . I highly recommend it

Hi Jo Ann: I've seen some of your pictures and I know it work well in your near perfect sun and shade environment. The lime greenish tint will gently fade to a mild cream over time, but the high bud of 10 to 18 will give plenty of fresh greenish flowers over a long blooming period. The petal substance is thick and waxy and each will last a good 7 days.

Thats great news. I also like to mix Menorcas with lavander blooming plants. They are a pale melon color with really large blooms.

Jo Ann, Both Courier and Menorca blend well with lavender. Both will bloom at the same time and plantwise they both have nearly identical sturdy stem, lush foliage and height. The Courier flower is a little more outfacing and more a shallower type bowl form whereas Menorca is a little more upfacing with a deeper bowl. I have Courier, Menorca and Purple Prince growing in the same garden. My thinking was to try blend all three. It didn't work. The Purple Prince begins to bloom about 7 to 10 days later, just when Courier and Menora were finishing up so there was not enough overlap to be effective. I liked the fact the Purple Prince was taller in this setting, however. This particular garden has no shade (except for a passing cloud) so all three live under exactly the some set of conditions.
