Gee, scientists sure are muddling things up ... or I guess maybe with DNA testing nowadays, they are actually trying to straighten things out.
But it sure makes things confusing for me. I had no idea that my
Huernia (Ceropegia 'Red Dragon Flower') was now considered Ceropegia genus and looking at the database I see that the plant I knew as C. woodii is now classified as
String of Hearts (Ceropegia woodii)
Stapelia gigantea is now Ceropegia too. I don't know how anyone keeps things straight anymore ... off to change names on my laptop folders.
