Quick connectors on your hoses, sprinklers and nozzles really speed up the watering process to get the job done quickly.

Quick connectors make a major difference. Once you get hooked on them, you'll never go back.

Marilyn, I got some Gardena brand quick connectors eons ago & they haven't broken yet! It's been at least 15 years. They're a little pricey but WELL worth it. Thumbs up

And I bet they are still working for him Grumbling . Mine got left at the house down south so I will have to be replacing mine. A few might have made it in the moving truck but will have to see when we unpack everything when the house is done & we move in. Sure am hoping I can win that raffle. I could use that money for Gardena quick connectors!

My quick connectors are made of brass and I've had them about 8 years, they really are great time savers, worth the cost for sure. Thumbs up

We have a bunch of brass ones that we bought at Harbor Freight (very reasonably priced), but the washers in them die pretty quickly in our temperature extremes. Are the Gardena brand more durable?

The Gardena I had were some kind of plastic & it as well as the washers just kept going like the energizer bunny! And we had extreme high temps. down in that portion of Fl. as well as brutal sun. However, I can't say what your cold temps. will do to it. I'm not cold experienced. Shrug!

Hmmm, don't think plastic would like our nasty cold temps. Or maybe it's just the extremes. I've had more plastic things just shatter here. But the brass ones from Harbor Freight are inexpensive enough that I'm perfectly happy buying replacement ones! Regardless, those quick connectors are life savers!

Are you familiar with the connectors mechanics use on air hoses? Same technology. They allow you to just push back a sleeve on the connector on one hose, and slide the mating connector on the other hose (or watering tool) into it. It snaps back and voila! No having to screw and unscrew hoses and nozzles. They are generally sold as either male/female sets or a combination of several.

Those are the Gardena brand ones, which are plastic and are the ones that a couple of people have mentioned. I personally haven't had good luck with the plastic ones, but the brass ones are rather more expensive. I looked to see if Harbor Freight had them listed on their website, but I don't see them right now (possibly a seasonal item). Amazon also shows a couple of brass ones. You don't mention where you're located, so I don't know which would suit your needs best. Our local hardware store (Ace Hardware) also carries a brass version. I think these little gadgets are getting more and more popular!

Thanks - I'll have to buy these. Here's a tip for back for you to keep nursery tags organized. Punch hole and keep them on a metal or cable ring.

Thank you!

Once upon a time I had several tips pending, but I never supplied a photo.

Also, I probably never got them short enough to be interesting!
