Hello! I've been lurking around these forums for about a week now, and have started a blog but haven't actually introduced myself.

I'm in central California. Last year was my first year gardening, after many years of waiting and wishing! While I rent, my landlord has basically given me free reign, so I've removed two small trees that were being crowded out by a much larger gingko, am working on rehabbing the front lawn (previously a weed patch), and have overhauled the backyard by adding a few raised beds and designating an area against the fence as a flower patch (bulbs in the spring, wildflower mixes in the summer).

This year I'm trying to starts seeds indoors for the first time, and so far so good! I'm looking forward to learning more and sharing with you all!
