Hillfarm Journal, Winter on the Farm

I couldn’t stay inside today. The sun is shining and the temperature is in the low 40s. There’s snow, but only enough to be decorative.

I was a tree-climbing tomboy as a child so it brought back some fond memories for me.

And that's the most snow I've seen this year! We've had maybe a half an inch. Vicarious snow is good. Green Grin! Thumbs up

lol, well, we've lost most of that snow, so it's only memory snow even here. Glad you liked it.

Many have had light snowfall so far this year, it seems. Even my friends in Nordic country report less than normal snowfall... so far!
Kathleen, I enjoyed reading about your farm-life adventures and also enjoyed the snowy pictures. Smiling

We had one light snow that lasted for several days. The rest of our winter so far is more like spring.

Kathleen, I loved taking a walk with you and Blaze. Was fun to see the animal tracks and reminisce about childhood memories.
I too was a tree climber. Thank you for the walk and the memories. Lovey dubby

Thanks for a great article! Just came in from my walk on my former dairy farm and there were deer hoof prints under the apple trees and a flock of cedar waxwings in the biggest apple tree. My pup is now too blind to enjoy the walk around the yard so I went alone. The heather was blooming...

Oh Sharon, I think they would know you were there too! Probably pampering them, while sweet talking them, you would surely have them eating out of your hands-literally! Whistling Smiling
