Hello Joshua @Australis,

Please direct me to the database entry for Angraecum sesquipedale Star of Bethlehem, and I will upload two photos.

Thanks very much.

Hi Carol,

Here's the new entry for this selected clone: Orchid (Angraecum)

I've also associated your two photos for you.

Are you sure these two pictures show Angraecum sesquipedale 'Star of Bethlehem' ? Somehow this lip doesn't look right to me for any Ang sesquipedale, it looks closer to Ang leonis or a hybrid?

I'm no orchid expert, so here are the label and associated photos. If you think the ID is incorrect, I am happy to have the image deleted.

Let me check the photos again. If there is enough doubt over the ID, then I'll move them to the genus entry, rather than delete them entirely.

If these pictures were taken at a show, is it possible that the tag/id belonged to a neighboring Orchid? Easily done. Smiling
Do you have a picture backing off a bit?

All I can say is that I tried very hard to avoid that possibility.

I am trying to see the spur, the spur on sesquipedale is a foot long and white.

edited, should say foot long and greenish-white

I don't see such a long spur. Sounds like these images should be moved to a more generic entry or deleted.

Seeing as there was no genus entry for Angraecum and I couldn't find any further evidence for the clonal name, I've renamed the database entry. It's now a generic entry for the genus.
