A Wab-a-Sabi lotus tuber I purchased has a white fungus on the tips & base.
It's been refrigerated at 42F in the plastic bag since it arrived last Friday (per instructions included),
as our pond is still 59F. BTW, I ordered 2/13, and the shipment arrived 2/16.......very fast service.

Should I spray the fungus with Physan?
Or just leave it in the refrigerator till time to float it, grow a few leaves, and plant it(?)

BTW, I called the seller 2X this week and asked those questions, but didn't get any replies yet, and would like your opinion(s)
on what to do, please. Smiling

Just got a reply from the seller with an apology for the late reply.....under staffed.....I'm guessing from the flu going
around. Understandable, and I will buy from them again. Smiling
tubers.... they are dipped in captan fungicide
when they are stored. They will sometimes get some mold on them in
storage. You can store them as they are, and they should be just fine.
If you do want to clean them we would recommend just using tapwater with
a capful of bleach to rinse them in.

That answered my question, but if anyone has experience using Physan on lotus tubers,
I would still appreciate your input.

Everyone got their flu shots, right????
Everyone washes their hands soon as they get home, too. (???)

Be safe. Thumbs up
