For months I have researched the identity of my plants because it is difficult to find a picture which goes with the name, the commom names for the plant, and a searchable data bease which is capable of allowing searching using the common name or for example the familiar name like jade plant or corn plant.

Having the cultivar, the Latin name, family, familiar names, and care information easy to find would be extremely helpful for people who are starting to get to know plants for the first time. Unfortunately for me Until now i DID NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO RESEARCH PLANTS UNTIL THE INTERNET WAS MORE ACCESSABLE FOR ME. i'M WORKING ON GETTING CAUGHT UP AND WANT TO LEARN THE LATIN NAMES AND OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT MANY DIFFERENT PLANTS. Oops, I didn't realize I accidently hit the caps lock. I'm going to have to find something to use to mark it so that I might be more aware if I hit it accidently.

Have you poked around in our database? Up at the top of the page, click on the "Plant Database" tab near the logo. There you can search by common name (or latin name) and get pictures and information about each plant.

Many plants don't yet have photos or information, but you can help fill in details on plants that you know about, for the benefit of future searchers!
