LOL Karen after so many years gardening I am calm when plants sprout though I get this nice comfortable feeling inside that I must have done something right since they sprouted.

There's just something about the wintersown ones that gives me a rush. I guess the fact that they sprout and survive at all after being buried under feet of snow for weeks or months at a time.

well there are two cardinal flowers that have sprouted in that jug Smiling I suspect that will be plenty for now but I will remember to save all the seed pods they produce this summer so I can sow them for next year.

I just did a jug of Salvia and will do some Morning Glorys later today. Haven't done the tomatos yet.

Well the moonflower seeds rotted in the soil! I had them inside the house since it was too cold for them outside. Haven't had much luck with those.

Are you talking about moonflower vine? I did those a few years ago and they did OK. Didn't like the plant that much, though, and never did them again.

That's the one. I tried many years ago and got two plants out of a pack but never got to see it bloom (I had to go away). This time all the seeds went mushy :-(

Thanks Terese! It's been a lovely day for me though on the quiet side. I spent most of it puttering in my garden though I did sneak in some shopping for new plants Smiling

Thanks everyone! It was a wonderful day and even Ma Nature cooperated. It got way warmer than the forecast and not a cloud in the sky. I had a great time in my garden!

well the cosmos are all popping up real fast so that's good but the salvia continues to dwadle. Another one has put in an appearance just to keep me from using the jug for something else. The single one that had sprouted before died when I transplanted it out of the jug. Not sure why since I took a whole tablespoon of soil with it to avoid stressing it.
