Not all Itoh foliage looks the same, need to compare Scrum from TW with one from a good source. Mine are still under over a foot of snow so it'll be a while, if mine survived the winter, before I can compare.

My photos are not well organized; just by day the photo was taken. But I thought that I had a woody stem on one of my TW Scrumps. So I will try to look.

I looked back on this thread, and on page 4 I had posted the foliage of my Scrum from Solaris. It is a light green when mature.

And Karen posted a photo of a real Scrum with a young foliage, looks very different from yours, LG. Now I am curious what peony is this "Scrum".

As soon as mine comes up, I will post a pic of my Scrum's foliage. Here are a couple from last year.

Mine is definitely an itoh. We'll see which one.

I've been lurking pretty hard on this thread and man has it been a roller coaster! I saw this post this morning and thought it might help those still interested in getting their hands on a division.

Scrum is a really vigorous grower in my conditions. I'll post some photos here later today or tomorrow.

The root looks good, I labelled it Scrum...

hi, for a root this size how big should the pot be? I have several common peony growing in the yard but recently got a sorbet peony root that I would pot. What would be a good size? Thank You!

Magiccraft, I would start with a 5 gallon pot. That way it can grow on to maturity without having to be repotted. Make sure that the potting medium is well draining, as peony roots do not like to be constantly damp.

Well, my Scrum from Solaris is leafed
out. I hope it blooms.

And here is my Scrum from Tulip World that does look like an herbaceous peony. It appears to have a bud, so we will see what the bloom looks like hopefully.

I am confused with what I got from tulip world last year:
The red one looks like an herbaceous peony but how about the yellow one?

ST52, I guess you will see it very soon. I hope at least somebody will get a real Scrum from Tulip World.

LG, will you contact them and ask for a refund?

ST52, it is hard to tell. Some of my herbaceous come up yellow if they are caught under leaves. I look forward to seeing what you have.

Gary, I'm so glad your is an Itoh. Can't wait to see it bloom.

Anya, when mine blooms not looking like Scrum, I will send a pic to TW and ask for a refund.

It is unacceptable to send something other than what you advertised.

I did contact TW, and told them that the foliage on the ones they sent me was an herbaceous peony.
They sent out a replacement order and I received it Friday. One of them definitely looks like an Itoh, with the bud up on a woody stem. The other is questionable. I will plant these this morning.

This is the update of my scrum. Does the leaf shape looks like a peony or an itoh to you?

ST52 I believe you have an herbaceous peony.

I have a Scrum from Solaris, so this is what it's foliage looks like.
