Unfortunately I have been working every day outside, rain or shine. When I do my stories are not appropriate for here, and then I miss you guys. So, right now what I am not doing in my garden, is catching up here and missing keeping up with you all.
I do have to do some housework at some point in time. I wish DH's favorite past time was cleaning instead of watching tv. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing .

Thank you for keeping me in check. Well, that is new to me. I am always done early, so the date has not been verified by me in years. and just assumed it was still the 15th of April, like it always was. It was silly of me to assume that as everything seems to change. And Ginny, how kind of you to never correct me. You really should tho.

I did not make my post to correct you; sorry you feel that way. I was posting because there are tons of folks who have not yet completed their taxes and wanted to make it clear that the 2018 tax deadline date is not April 15th.

Laurie Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing We all wish our DH's favorite past time was cleaning, cooking, and doing dishes and laundry instead of watching TV Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! As for the deadline for taxes, even though it is the 18th this year, I'm hopefully finishing up the last one today for preparation, then I'm the last link in the chain for e-filing, etc. I use the 15th as my guideline every year just to keep myself on track. If you show up with your information a day or 2 before deadline don't count on it being done in time. Our clients are all long timers and we only get a few new ones a year so they know this by now. Hilarious! Hilarious! And we STILL have to call and remind people that their taxes have not been signed yet and are still in the drawer Sighing! Sighing!

No no, Greene, not a criticism. I have been talking to Ginny about her freedom with the wrong day forever now even counting down the hours. I don't know how she ever kept from correcting me. You read into the reply what was not there Missy. Stop that.

I'm sitting here "helping" DH as he struggles with our taxes. I want to go to bed but I need to oversee this. I did it the first time. Then the computer lost all the info. I hate Do Overs. Since then we've decided to use the Short Form so it would be good practice for DH to practice his focusing skills since that is a very easy form. For 20 mins we owed money. I asked, "How could that be?" When I first did it we had a refund?

He kept at it, then we finally figured out he was reading it wrong. It was indeed the REFUND amount. Now he's trying to E-File and keeps making mistakes. I am begging for him to take a break and finish it tomorrow. But he is stubborn. Stubborn with focus issues is a bad combination. sigh. As long as we get our refund I don't care how he does it!

Got email confirmation about E-Filing our taxes. Sure enough! DH omitted his PIN. Years ago our taxes were hacked. Now with every tax return, we each are assigned a PIN to include with our returns. I am sure the Hacker doesn't have to do that! Grumbling Easy fix though but DH shoulda taken that break last night. Sighing! His handicap, all that anesthesia he got, and the opioids make him willy nilly! Willy nilly and stubborn!! D'Oh! Lovey dubby

Actually Cheryl everyone that e-files has to have a PIN as their signature, but if you were hacked there is an additional Identity Protection PIN you have to include. Hope it works for you Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers!

Yes, I do realize this is not a pet chat thread, but this is not about my pet. It is more about the reason I did not do much in my garden today.

My NOT gardening today included taking care of the little dog that has neuter surgery and unfortunately tested positive for heartworm. The dog is doing just fine; getting along great in his temporary home. He weighs 15 pounds; just a little guy.
Thumb of 2018-04-13/greene/6636c4

The dog's family had a meeting and decided to surrender the dog (through me) to the Humane Society; they will also surrender their other dog that is most likely also heartworm positive.

On the plus side, the little dog is very good at helping me to pull weeds, but that is for the gardening thread. Rolling on the floor laughing

Everyone must be gardening; this thread is very quiet. What I did NOT do in my garden today was to finally begin building the chicken coop. I had a few false starts but today is the day. After working for about an hour I decide to hunt for my lost cordless drill...and of course, it was in the very last place possible. In the footwell of my car under the laundry supplies. *Blush*

I'll take a break and have some lunch while the battery recharges. Thumbs up

What I did not do in the garden today was have Tony take me to town where I stocked up on groceries to feed the dogs while I'm away and snacks for me and Buck on the road. Buck is coming up from Cabo, leaving tomorrow and will be here Monday or Tuesday. He will take me to Jose's where my car is supposed to be ready. This assumes that all goes as planned. Man plans; God laughs. Oh, well, I really like buck so I'll deal with whatever else happens.

Now I'm chopping liver and cooking chicken legs. These chores with help minimize the work Tony has to do to feed the dogs while I'm gone. He appreciates that. We work to take care of each other.
