Well, I'm in the mood for some tidying up and spring cleaning, I guess, and it's never the wrong time to improve the site!

I've updated the banner this evening. You probably noticed that it looks a tiny bit different and here's why: instead of being a cramps 125px tall, it is now 150px tall. That's only a 25 pixel increase, but I think it makes a huge difference! We can now fit much more detail in our photos into the banner.

Right now I have to manually change the banner. Sometime soon I want to make it so that the banner system is automated, and make it so that people can directly submit a new banner to the site without involving my manual input. And then we can give credit (and acorns!) for people who submit banners.

Until now though it'll remain a manual process for me.

I came to Site Talk to ask after the flowers on the right side of the banner. Very nice banner as always.

Dave - I submitted a number of pictures at 125 pixels, are those now no longer usable?
I agree it's great to have a slightly bigger banner. And I love the one we have today!!

Yes, but I think it might be a better idea to keep yourself in control of the banner images, Dave. At least by screening the new additions, once the system becomes automated.

You should still approve each one before it gets into circulation. Don't you think?

*Blush* Now that the banner is 150px the older 125px will have to be redone to be 150px in size. But if you want to just mail me the photos you used to make the original 125px ones, I can make them into 150px banners pretty quickly.

Sniff sniff, my old front yard garden. I drove by last week, a mess of weeds, new owners are definitely not gardeners. Sad
It will take a while to get that full lush look again in the new garden.

Don't drive by anymore, Sue.
It could be worse, they could mow it all down, dig it all up.
You don't want to see that.

I know, they always say that, don't drive by. I just wish I had dug up more than I did but at the time I was mortified that the pot count was over 600 already!
