Ooooh, it's that time again! I think these seedling threads are just about my favorite -- except for the monthly bloom pictures threads, of course. And now I'm starting to see scapes emerging in the garden, so hopefully it will only be a few weeks now...

This seedling produces beautiful blooms, but it does seem to have some issues with rust.

Also, another seedling bloomed today. This is a seedling that grew from a seed sowed in 2017.

Great seedlings! The pink one is a beauty and great about the rust resistance of the second one

This is one of my oldest seedlings. This beauty first bloomed on April 10, 2014. I kept a small amount of info on it at that time. It had a bud count of 16. It had a 30" tall scape. And a 7" bloom.

This is one of my most favorite seedlings. It has increased in scape height and bud count. It has been rust resistant with a 1.5 rating. (I gave it a 1.0 rating today because there is no rust on the leaves currently.) It does get a little bit of rust in the Fall which is minimal.

It is the first seedling that I am planning to register. I am trying to figure out a name for it. The name must represent a Chinese tradition to honor my DIL and my 2 granddaughters. Chinese colors are red and gold: http://qiharmony.com/significa...

I will likely be registering it this year and sharing a couple fans with my DIL for their new home/yard.

The only disappointment about this seedling is that it has never rebloomed for me. That is a trait that I also wanted, but sometimes you just can't have everything. I think this seedling is beautiful and deserves to be registered and shared.
