Fleming's "Old Yella" and "New Old Yella" are the only ones with any yellow tones at all, that I'm aware of. Maybe you can get one and cross it with your pinks, get lucky and develop a new color. Crossing Fingers!

There is a new one by Texas A&M called Summer Spice Amaretto that looks like a kind of melon color.

@Horntoad, thanks for listing the new ones from Texas A&M. I have not heard of any of them and was thrilled to have gotten a look at them on the web site. I live in Texas but so far west part we never get any Hardy Hisbiscus offered in the stores hear. All the ones I have were from nursery ordered. Do have a couple of the Luna series from seed . Thanks once again for showing these.

I just bought the Amaretto at Lowes today, and it more of a rose color to me.

Thanks for the warning on the color, but I bought one anyway. I'm picking it up Saturday. I found out, that particular Lowe's is the ONLY store in Missouri that has any of the new A&M introductions, and it just has that one. I'm so glad you asked the question about orangish Hardy Hibiscuses. Big Grin
The nearest blues are in Arkansas.

blues???? where? WHERE?!? well really, that is just nuts, only one lowes. Wonder what the thinking is in that. They have the same midnight marvel they've had for the past like 3 or 4 years. I can't get that one to live anyway.

I did see the blue ones on a website but didn't find anywhere near to buy them. My brother lives in AR and I'll be going down that way soon though.

@Frillylily
Hee, hee! I thought that might get somebody's attention. This morning, June 27th, Brandy Bleu (or was it Bleu Brandy?) arrived. 10 plants at the Bryant, Arkansas Lowe's (501) 213-2000, and 4 at the Searcy Lowe's.
Creme de la Creme, the white with the interesting petal edges went to Lowe's in Russelville and Little Rock, but I did not check on those delivery dates.
You can reserve them for pickup if you pay in advance with a credit card over the phone.
"I wonder what the thinking was in that?" Was echoed by the helpful fellow at the wholesale nursery, and I didn't even ask him if he knew why things were sent where they were. He spontaneously volunteered that he was mystified.
I decided not to drive to Arkansas, so I'll wait until next year for a blue or purple or whatever. I hope the blue is better than the "orange".

I agree Crossing Fingers! There are supposed to be more shipments going out later in the Summer, so we might not have to wait a whole year.

So pretty - all the colors my Hardy Hibiscuses don't come in. Shrug!
The new "Amaretto" is pink, not coral, although the flower and leaf shape is novel for a hardy hibiscus.

The blue isn't blue either. It's more gray or silver. I got 'Cordon Bleu' and 'Bleu Brulee' at Lowes today. I like them though. They look nothing like any other hardy hibiscuses out there.

"Silver" definitely is a better description.
