Hello everyone! We just moved from the Rocky Mountains in Colorado to SW Virginia about 8 months ago. I am eager to get into gardening vut know next to nothinh about gardening in zone 7...much different than in the mountains where my options were limited.
I have started seedlings for a container garden this year because we don't have a good place for a real garden. I am excited to learn more!

Welcome!
If starting the seeds indoors, please make sure the light is very close to the surface so the young plants will not have to stretch to reach the light. I had a container garden for 2 years. My containers were in full sun most of the day and did just fine. Containers may need to be watered more often.

We have a forum for veggies here:
https://garden.org/forums/view...

When you have some free time, I would suggest you read through the posts on that forum as lots of people have asked questions and received tons of good answers and suggestions.
