I have a greenhouse with grow lights. Will these lights hamper the growth of this plant, as I see it likes dappled shade ? I have a new plant and don't want to kill it right outta' the gate. Thanks.

I would keep a close eye on the leaves, and if you see any signs of sunburn on the leaves - usually a brownish patch forming, just move the lights farther away from the plants. But I wouldn't think grow lights would have the jam to burn any leaves unless the leaves were getting too hot from the lights.

These are tropical foliage plants, and some of mine get direct sunlight in the mornings. They do fine. I did plant one in full sun for a while, and the white portions of the variegated leaves turned a bit brown, so I moved it back to less sun.

Many thanks, Elaine. Grow lights are about 5 feet from plants so should be safe....but I'll keep an eye on them.
