Looking at these entrees of Epidendrum radicans, I see several of them showing blooms with the lip pointing upwards. I learned that radicans has the lip pointing downwards in resupinate fashion. Those with the lip pointing upwards in non-resupinate fashion belong to the secundum type or Epidendrum secundum complex.

Interesting, Ursula. I didn't know that. Is the one in the database that has the pink flowers out of place in the Epidendrum radicans?

Do you mean the one from Gone Tropical? If so, I don't think so. The lip faces upwards, so it is not radicans.
