Thread OP

We are in region 9a and bought a healthy Japanese lions head maple. Living in houston, we have harsh summers. Our plan is to plant it on the north side of the home close to the home. Anyone have any knowledge on this tree?

I do not know that exact tree, but I know Japanese Maples generally do better protected from strong sun. So somewhere that it gets some afternoon shade would be good.
