Yes, yes, yes!!!

We drove to our rural cabin place today and the solid red Blanket Flowers dominated our pastures. Usually it's the red/yellow blanket flowers, but few of them appeared this year, just the solid red ones! That's OK with me, as I think they are prettier. A lot of Black-Eyed Susans mixed in also, but we have those EVERY year. Spotted Monarda (wild beebalm) is the big show this month. The pollinators love them all. :)

Wow! Ann, your wildflower photos are breathtaking. I haven't tried to sow any myself on our place. Mother Nature planted what is there. I'm working on putting out some blue borage this year. All my energy has been directed to planting mostly trees and shrubs.

Thank you so much Peggy! From the sound of things, it seems like Mother Nature took pretty good care of your place in the wildflower department. Best to get the trees & shrubs planted as they take longer to grow.

Ann, I love how your flowers now have a life of their own. They are gorgeous. I did something similar on a much smaller scale around 10 years ago in my yard, but slowly they have been eaten up by weeds. This year I am trying hard to beat back the weeds, and a few small patches of flowers are emerging. Keep posting your photos- so much fun to see the progress through the years!
