The co-op forum is available for members to organize amongst themselves group purchases of gardening-related items. It is un-moderated and there are no rules. Buyer beware, be careful, treat each other well, and have fun.

That sounds like a great idea I will start one I guess this is going to be a definite learning curve but I LOVE IT I was there threw a lot of the "first" site developments and You and Dave are the best I am so disappointed with the other site I have spoke my mind to their admends and moderators (in privet d-mail) and im one step from being banned! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing I think its kinda funny now that this is coming along so well i will NEVER give that site another cent.

let everyone know I am not perfect and I want to learn so tell tell I am an open book!

Hi Trish and Dave! How nice that you are still working hard for all of us to stay connected through the format that many of us are most comfortable with . I have just learned of this "new" venture and am looking forward to exploring it fully. You guys are great and I am happy to see you again! Thank you!

Please tell me if this would be appropriate. In the process of decluttering (yay!) I have a number of gardening books that need new homes. Is it ok to list them for postage only or would I be trampling on some type of copyright law and/or the purpose of the forum?

I'd also like the answer to that. I have some wonderful gardening books that I haven't touched in many years and I'd like them to go to plant lovers.

@dave and @plantmanager - I was skimming thru the forum and I noticed that there were a few people selling books. Long ago and faraway. Of course that doesn't make it ok. But just made me think, 'Well, if so and so can do it, why not me?' Repeat: that doesn't necessarily make it right.

Also, @dave, I don't know if I could find it again but you did post something in here about scammers. I'll see if I can find it b/c I do have seeds that I don't even need postage for. I just collected them to see if I could. Most would fit in a plain envelope with 1 forever stamp. Doesn't seem worth it to wait for someone to send me $1. Just saying.

If they are your books, I would think you could sell them, or give them away or do what ever you wanted with them.

I don't see why the books couldn't be sold, either. There are plenty of used bookstores around, people selling books on ebay, facebook groups for selling books, etc. On the cactus and succulent FB page there are always people selling books.
It has nothing to do with copyright, you would need Dave's input but I would think anything plant related would be OK to sell. In the old co-op forum people sold all sorts of plants and garden supplies, Atlas gloves were always a good seller.

I think y'all are right about the books. Some of it was I wanted to be sure it would be ok to sell on this site.
Atlas gloves would be very nice. I seem to go thru them like crazy, And then I end up with a lot of left-handed gloves b/c I'm right-handed and I guess I misplace those. Grrr.

@Seedfork and @lakesidecallas - Been finding more and more books. Ack! So now it's a question of is this the appropriate site to try to sell them?
