Not only is Coleus a wonderfully versatile plant in the landscape, it's also a great companion for other potted tropicals / houseplants. All of these were added to the pots as just-cut cuttings without roots. Cutting the stem at an angle helps it stick right down through the soil without getting stuck. Works great when it's warm & humid, not so much when it's cooler. Most of them look shrunken from being trimmed so often the past few months (to have more stems for landscaping.)
These pots will be landscape decorations this summer, then back inside for winter, except the windowbox. What colorful Coleus combos are you creating?

Interesting combos! I tend to be pretty boring and plant most of my coleus with other coleus, but this year did add them to some containers with cannas. Will have to see if the cannas take over by the end of the summer. Just getting started now.
My coleus tower is also just getting started. Filled with mostly overwintered cuttings, but a few new ones also.

When I had coleus before, I did not mix them with other tropicals, I just used other coleus varieities with in same container they can easily over run the entire container. But it was so fun to see, so lush when they were happily growing.

I haven't had a pot of dangling vines for a few yrs, have been growing vines upward on trellises, but decided to start a new hanging pot for a change. Since the vines just go down, I put a few very tiny Coleus cuttings to get started as more upright plants @ the top. It's been about 6 weeks & it's starting to look good, time to find a place to hang it.
