My seeds have sprouted - indoors. Can I plant these outdoors under cover, or are they cold sensitive?

Sounds like they like cool weather.

But if they sprouted indoors, I don't know. You won't really have much of a chance to harden off...Nights are supposed to be in the 20s here this weekend... If your forecast is the same you might want to wait until after this cold snap?

I brought in some planting mix to warm up. I think I'll keep them in for a bit.

Thanks for your input. Thumbs up

BTW - that's where I bought the seeds and they sprouted in two days, which was much quicker than I thought they would. Big Grin

Since they are a bi-annual, I would keep them indoors until May with hopes that they will form flower buds the 1st year.

Thumbs up Sounds good. They probably won't like our summertime heat, but I wanted to try them - they're so pretty!

So, how are your plants doing, chelle?

These died. Sad

I don't know if was from cold or rot, it may have been a combination of both.

I may start more seeds for possible fall bloom - will have to see if time presents itself for it. Hilarious! That's the hardest part right?

I mentioned somewhere else that they seem to prefer being in the ground (I mulched mine last winter) and in partial shade. I was amazed and gratified when the little rascal came up this year! The ones in raised beds and containers all tanked.
