My company's IT department makes it hard to use any browser other than IE, so I'm using that.
My worst fear is that just plain old browsing around is 'tracked' by enough sites that sell each other info, that just researching a particular kind of product is enough to enough to put one's identity "on a list".
I think that the worst, most paranoid Big Brother fantasies have become everyday reality for people using the Internet, but so far those are mostly used to generate advertising, not arrest warrants or "re-education orders"!
If we're patient, the government will probably, eventually, catch up to Google.
What surprises me is that it used to be the Republicans who talked about how terrible that kind of invasion of privacy was, and now the demcrats seem more afraid of it. Maybe that just flips back and forth every 30-50 years?
But I think this is both thread drift AND politics, so I'll stop grumping and grousing. None of it is ATP's fault, Dave does a great job focusing the ads we see on garden products.
