Not sure why I have this picture as I normally don't take pics of lopped semps that look like it might bloom for 2nd time. This one looked suspect back then and I probably threw it out. It's probably a Noid.

Thanks Bev, those don't look as full and leafy as on my Raspberry Ice, so I'm still thinking mine are chick rosettes. Will update here as I find out.

This is what happens when you don't pull off all the blooming tip leaves...

Pulled them off, again, now wait and see! I tip my hat to you.

With warm to hot weather, the re-emerging growth on 'Raspberry Ice' is pushing out the "chicks" (if they are chicks) on lengthening stolons. Inspecting one, gingerly peeling open the rosette leaves, saw no evidence of flower buds, so decided today is the day to take some off and pot them up.

'Raspberry Ice', lengthening stolons on the re-emerged growth, pulled off 12 "chicks"
Thumb of 2018-06-20/AntMan01/a1913d Thumb of 2018-06-20/AntMan01/6387f0

Plucked out 10 chicks initially, added a couple more, for 6 chicks per small pot.
Thumb of 2018-06-20/AntMan01/5f994b Thumb of 2018-06-20/AntMan01/19c481

If I'm wrong about my belief these new growths are chicks, there are still about 20 more growths there (many under the leaves). To be continued...

I look forward to seeing them in a couple of weeks. They look really good Mark.

If these re-emerging growths really are chicks, then I'll gain a bumper crop of 'Raspberry Ice'

A couple of weeks ago, I whacked my Happy to see if I could get some babies.

I took a picture today and I can see some little green things starting to form but can't tell if they are offsets or more blooms.

Too early to tell...just wait; and if they do look like bloom buds, whack them off again.

Another update, at dusk, 06-25-2018:

re: amputated 'Raspberry Ice'
I've been removing the upper two rows of mature stem leaves, to allow more room and light to the "resurrection chicks", the 12 I potted up still look fine, and there are about 15 more lengthening chicks on what's left of the chicks.
Thumb of 2018-06-26/AntMan01/c012cb

Raspberry Ice, view of resprouting chicks, and when I pulled off some of the mature leaves to allow from for chicks, I potted a few leaves up as cuttings, on the left, purely an experiment.
Thumb of 2018-06-26/AntMan01/6a0360

View of my shaded Semp surgical recovery area. I might end up with nearly 30 'Raspberry Ice' if all of the regenerated chicks survive, and more if per chance the leaf cuttings work. In lower left center is 'Kip' just starting to show re-emerging growth after surgery.

Here is a recent shot of Happy, whom I whacked a while back.

What do you all think? Am I getting my hopes up for nothing?

At this stage, I become invasive and peel back, gently, the center baby leaves and see if I can see the bumpy center for flower buds. If you just see more tiny leaves then it's hopeful!

Bev, I did that with my 'Raspberry Ice' patient, peeled open the regrowth leaves and no sign of flower buds Hurray!

Here's what's left of my 'Raspberry Ice' today: been plucking out the leaves to leave room for chicks & stolons, plucked off 6 more chicks and potted them, for a total of 18 potted chicks, and I'm left with a bonsai stump with 8 more chicks on it, LOL.

I love the second photo, now such a beautiful rosette Blinking I've probably salvaged as much as I can out of this brave semp, estimated result of 26 chicks, not bad. Smiling

Melissa yours look about like my 'Artist' ones. I beheaded May 15th and it is now full of fuzzy little offsets in the center, just like yours. Hoping at least some of the tiny offsets will thrive as this is the only rosette I have.

Yup, but Mom is gone, only 4 leaves and a stump left. At least she provided prodigious offsets Hurray!
