I saw these and thought all of you would like to see them. I wonder what kind of glue she uses to put these together. I will be trying to make some of these for my sedums, sempervivums and iceplants!

I found these links for using epoxy to make them.
Here is another link for using the epoxy. There are many other videos showing the many uses of this awesome material. Hurray!

I will finish my first planter today. The glue I got at Lowes worked. I'll use epoxy on the next one. This is so much fun!

By the way, no form is needed for planters this size. The base gives it shape. It's kind of like brick laying. I have an idea for using party mix containers though! Milk jugs would be awesome too. I'll just scatter these among the flower beds. LOL.

It's drying now. I hope it stays together. It could end up falling to pieces. LOL.

I really like it. I think it would be cool to make a tall one and leave holes in the sides (kind of like a strawberry jar planter). You could easily do that.

Here is a link to the glue I used. I'm sure there are better glues, but this one is very thick and held quickly. I tried some epoxy glue I bought, but it was messy and slow to hold. I'm not sure how you would use the epoxy with a project like this. You only have so much time after you mix the two ingredients and then it doesn't hold instantly. I was having a very difficult time with it. It could be that it was the kind of epoxy I was using. I really think this would be fun if you had some great glue.

The glue I used dries to a color that almost matches the light river rocks I used. It scrapes off the rocks easily too so it's easy to clean up. It's supposed to be water proof so that is a plus. I saw some tubes of stuff they use for concrete and brick that might work as well. You have to use a caulking gun with them though.

Cliff, I love it! The planter turned out so cool and your selection of plants is perfect!! I can't wait to give this a try too.
