The threads are still showing up as active, so maybe we need more reports for the system to do whatever it does. I don't much mind, it' easy enough to scroll past and the threads are dropping further down the lists.

They may not have an auto removal in their program. I think that was only a rumor and never confirmed.

Whoa! I've never had a passport as I've never felt the need to leave the good old US of A. Let me rethink this. Perhaps I could get a passport from this fine spammer and take a trip around the world.

I read that to mean enough red reports will ban a spammer from a specific forum automatically, but then Dave manually bans the spammer from the entire site.

Ha ha, Greene. I got my first passport when my son, his wife, and their then 3 year old went on a 6 month trip to SE Asia - just in case they had any sort of emergency. That child is now almost 20 and doing her own overseas traveling. I can't imagine letting my passport expire.

I just saw one. Would be nice if I remembered where. I didn't want to open it for safety's sake.

Don't know but I might have triggered the spam. Last night I was chatting away in the Texas forum and mentioned my passport needed to be renewed. Could be that some program goes fishing for magic words like 'passport'.

EDITED: Found it. It's in the Amaryllis forum. Still didn't open it. However, 'we' were chatting about Amaryllis also in the Texas forum.

Who knows what lurks in the mind of these crazy spammers? Don't feel guilty. I sometimes wonder if all the members of NGA are getting ads for support stockings and hope they don't track it back to me.

I haven't seen that on any of the forums I watch. Hmm, I might worry if I watched all of those reported.
I have noticed the watched threads have been slower than usual to update today, so I assume Dave and family are taking a much needed break. It occurs to me that this forum is a 24-7 job for them, and we are all so spoiled by the instant gratification we're used to.

The best approach is to report each post using the report icon in the bottom right corner.

When Dave has a chance to look at the reports, he will ban the spammer from the site.

I think there are plenty of reports, Josh. It's been about 7 hours or more. I think the spammer just caught them on a day they weren't online.
