Hi,

I recently built something similar to the subirrigated box shown at this link:

apparentlyNewMembersAreNotAllowedToPostLinks

It seems that the potting mix really isn't drawing up the water the plants need, and they start dying if I don't water them from above. Does anyone have tips for subirrigated boxes, or does this method just not actually work?

Your plants are too far from the water source! Lower your plants about 10 inches, and you won't have to top water anymore.
