I think there are many people here on the forum who grow many interesting plants, other than daylilies.

I'd like to invite our members to start a thread on your own garden. Walk us through the seasons as things come into bloom. You may have seen the recent threads by newyorkRita and lilylady about their gardens. I want to start one on my own garden very soon.

I love learning about companion plants - and also seeing "virtual tours" of other people's gardens.

One way this could be useful to you is you can look back to your thread in years to come and see when you posted that this plant or that plant bloomed. Use it as a sort of Garden Journal!

I realize that this may be a little "off topic" for a daylily forum. I remember how popular Rita's threads were last year as she showed us peonies, daylilies, roses, etc. through the summer. I think there would be enough people here who would enjoy such threads to encourage everyone to start a thread about their own garden.

This is a photo of my mixed perennials that are one one side of my largest bed of daylilies. You can see the rows of daylilies in the background.

Well, I for one love the idea!!! I think we are mostly daylilies, but just about everyone grows other plants and it's good to see how we all garden. I love seeing all plants, any plants and every plant so your idea is really great!!

I finally broke down and bought me a new camera, so I'll be putting some photos up soon.

Blessings to all, Mona

So you wanna see my pot ghetto huh ? LOL

Ann Bell, show us your magnificent gardens.

I would love to see everyone's gardens, I love all kinds of flowers not just daylilies. I have lots of bearded irises. But first my gardens have to be weeded before taking pictures this year.

Great idea.

Juli, that is such a lovely picture of a beautilful cottage garden. I love to see pictures of other peoples gardens too myself as I really want to see how the daylilies are part of the whole plan for the garden.

Weedy photos are fine with me. Have some of those, then going to take a few more after the yard is mowed and edged this Friday. Before and after, donchaknow. Green Grin!

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

I love the idea! Absolutely LOVE it!

I might even start a thread myself. I've been having a lot of fun exploring the plants growing on our property, taking photos & identifying them. Though I don't have a "garden" there yet; I'm learning & loving all the natives & wildflowers that are already growing there. I think I would like to share that.

Ann, I would really like to see that! I've never been in fields or woods in Florida - only to Orlando and Disney World. I am sure your area is quite different than central Ohio!

Thanks Juli! We were just out at the property today & I was taking photos of some enchanting little wildflowers. I will start a thread as soon as I get time. Right now I'm adding the photos to the database.

You know, I would love to see in your thread the native plants & trees on your property as well as your lovely gardens. I know you have some large acreage & would like to learn about Ohio as you would about Florida fields & woods.

Juli, this was a great idea to have us post our gardens. And as spring progresses I bet more and more gardens will be shown. That is the kind of thing I always enjoy as I just love to see how the daylilies fit in in all our gardens and what other garden plants grow besides just daylilies. Hurray!

see them either.

Thanks ,Rita. I hope more people will start posts about their gardens, and what is blooming in their area.

I have some things on my plate right now, but I will start one for my garden/area soon.

I took Josie for a short walk today, and took a few photos of things blooming and scenery.

I know we could do a blog of our "tours" but I think it might be more useful to have the threads here for future new members.

Hi All. I don't have photos yet, but I do have blooms! Very early, but blooms. Forsythia and Magnolia opened yesterday along with Daffodils. I have Crocus trying to open, but they look like they are having a tough time. Several local folks have Bradford Pear opening today and a few Crabapples are trying to open. I live about an hour north of Kansas City, normally on the cold side of zone 5. I'll try to learn to send photos - love to share them as I learn.
