First the landscaping is beautiful. I had no idea there was such a variety of hen and chicks. Forgive me for calling them that but that is what I grew up knowing them as. I have to check out some of these to see if they will work in my area. I just transferred mine, learning I planted them in a bad spot and lost some.

Its easy for me to believe in miracles when science can't explain why a blade of grass has its shape and that is just one plant and one attribute.

Your welcome. Yes... there is an astonishing variety of Sempervivums, quite literally thousands. If you collect enough of them it becomes its own landscape.
NY should work climate wise. These guys are hardy down close to -30F. They work good in pots if you want to move them around and try different locations to see how they do.
