I once visited those gardens. must have been in the late 80's.

Thanks! The garden opened it's doors to the public in 1939 and has been open ever since. It's my favorite place to go when we're in AZ.

Not only is your banner captivating, it is a strong statement of the beauty, structure and without doubt natural armour of survival that cacti are endowed with. Great banner! 🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵

Karen, whenever you get to creating your vertical succulent garden, I would love to see pictures. There are a few local ones that are really well composed and well cared for, and huge. Choose the plants carefully. Some of them want to grow upward no matter what.

Thanks, Baja. I've been thinking about that. A few years back I made one, and everything outgrew it's space way too quickly. I was constantly having to move plants in and out.

On the Sempervivum board there have been some very pretty ones composed entirely of semps. I'd like to do that too, but what I really would love is one with mostly cacti.

If you can get pics of some of your local ones, I'd love to see them!
