WOW !! Beautiful plant and scenery. Where do you live?

Susan, I live in Fallbrook, California which is sub-tropical in climate, but it's 71 miles from here to Borrego Springs, down in the Anza Borrego Desert...or 58 miles from here to Julian (mountain town with snow)...or 20 miles to the ocean. Usually we go out through the high desert, drop down into the low desert, then climb again to Julian in the mountains...sometimes from there we head to the ocean. San Diego County is very diverse and mostly open space really when you get inland from the beach towns. I think the great majority of open space is due much to the fact that the Anza Borrego is so large.

Well, that is really nice. I do not get to see mountains very often and it always takes my breath away. Also that plant is the most amazing thing also, never saw anything like that before. You have something very special. Lovey dubby
